ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cantonal Medical Service (CMS) is the cantonal authority for health protection and public health in the Canton of Bern. It coordinates vaccination programmes, crisis management and digital communications for a broad population.

HPV Vaccination Campaign
Led communications for the cantonal HPV vaccination campaign: produced materials for seven target groups.

Girls: 59% → 71% · Boys: 17% → 49% vaccination rate.

Online Editorial
Co-managed website (Typo3), newsletter distribution and forms (JaxForms). Coordinated website updates for the General Secretariat and Office for Integration and Social Affairs.

AI Governance
Co-shaped the AI core group KI@BE: reviewed AI applications, created ISDS concept and developed cantonal usage guidelines.

Contract & Budget Management
Coordinated 22 service level agreements. Managed budget and resource planning of CHF 8–12M per year.

Stakeholder Communications
Drafted press releases and decision papers for the Cantonal Medical Officer. Led communications with doctors, hospitals, pharmacies and health insurers.
